I am a PhD student in biology with a profound passion for Maine Coons. Their unique and contrasting charm—a majestic and wild appearance paired with a gentle and affectionate temperament—captivated me and inspired my dedication to this extraordinary breed.
Drawing from my background in biology and scientific training, I am committed to ethical breeding practices that prioritize the health, temperament, and preservation of Maine Coons. To deepen my knowledge, I completed the Campus Felinarium Ursa Minor and Ursa Major courses, which provided me with a comprehensive understanding of feline care, genetics, and responsible breeding.
The Ursa Minor course offered a strong foundation in feline physiology, nutrition, and behavior, equipping me to better address the physical and emotional needs of my cats. It also emphasized recognizing early signs of illness and maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and care in a cattery setting.
The Ursa Major course expanded upon these principles with advanced training in genetics, breeding techniques, and ethical considerations. I gained expertise in interpreting genetic test results, identifying desirable traits for breeding, and reducing hereditary health risks. The course also emphasized kitten development, socialization, and the importance of pairing cats with families that align with their needs for a happy and fulfilling life.
This formal education, combined with my scientific background, has equipped me with the tools to breed Maine Coons responsibly and ethically.
